Copy The Look; Céline

October17

It will still smash your budget bigtime, but the green leather top from next Spring already has a copycat sis at COS. Now available in the online shop.

Theyskens’ Theory SS12

October15

A favourite since I discovered the brand in New York, Olivier Theyskens’ collection for Theory. I am very happy with his follow-up for the dropcrotch jeans. Or his version of leather leggings, the holographic film pants. I wish I still had the flagship store as close to home as I had three months ago, sigh…With his Belgian roots in mind, I say it’s time for an Antwerp flagship as well.

PFW; Stella McCartney SS12

October14

“It’s a celebration of energy, freshness, and fitness” said Stella McCartney about her own Spring collection. I love the one-piece suits and the combination of prints. On the other hand, I hated those pyama shirts and swimming pool sandals. Vogue called it a new focus on releaxed ease, I call it “ugly as hell”.

Isabel Marant gives her clothes that “je ne sais quois” feeling every woman is craving for. Her casual style is build around jeans with influences from around the world. For this collection she was inspired by American sportswear as well as princesses from India. Predictable? Maybe. Wearable? Yes!

PFW; Chloé SS12

October12

Clare Waight Keller has replaced Hanna MacGibbon, whose contract at Chloé wasn’t renewed earlier this year. Femininity but boyish were the buzzwords backstage, the same words that best describe my favourite fashion style. As we seen with other collections, lots of whites, lasercuts, accents of burgundy and bluegreen and a littlebit of aloha flowers.
