Dutch designer/stylist Rika designed a nailpolish for German Uslu Airlines. The polish looks all black in the bottle, but when you apply it, the black magically turns into transparent grey and little black stars appear, it can’t be more Xmassy than this!

I’m not too keen on reveiling my scent secrets, just because it’s so personal. But I just go crazy on this scent I recently discovered, Tam Dao by French Diptyque. The inspiration, the odour of wood and overgrown temples in the deep rainforst where elephants wander around makes me want to go on faraway travels and the smell is just as inspirational. It first smells like benzin, then a deep, deep sandalwood, green, grassy, leafy as well. Untill the day I can afford a bottle I go to the department store on a regular basis and casually spray it all around me when the saleswoman isn’t looking. Afraid of being recognized as “that woman”, Yes, I’m that addicted.

Shot at Paris fashionweek, it was probably coloured for a show, but what a cool hairdo! At first I thought she was a blonde, but it really is grey. This proves we women have nothing to fear when we see our first greys appear, wear an Aviator and be fabulous!

Okay, this will sound like a really, really funny post, but trust me…..After trying tons of deodorants, bio, extra dry, extra extra dry, funny smelling, not-so funny smelling, I googled on the theme. And this is what I found, try regular baking soda/ bicarbonate! A common kitchen product in the UK, US and Asia, but not so common in Europe, so I found a box at my local Asian supermarket (so happy to live in the big city). I mixed it with babypowder and apply it every morning for 6 weeks now, HALLELUJAH, a new definition to superdry! Very cheap and very environmental friendly, I will never use anything else, I swear.

What nice temperatures! Five summer essentials I can’t live without…

Lancaster Sport SPF30, know your basics, sunburn is soooooo passé, skincancer unfortunately not. This spray is easypeasy to apply, and no more sand in the bottle. I recommend their facecream as well, love the sunshine, not the wrinkles 10 years later.

Dove Sunshine, preferably to cover up white, whiter or less white legs within three days. Carefully wash your hands afterwards, you don’t want orange fingernails. Scrubbing first gives a nicer result and babysoft skin.

Aveda Suncare hair and bodycleanser, removes chlorine, salt and product build-up. This all-in-one product with a gorgeous tropical smell is the only bottle I pack in the suitcase.

Clinique lipgloss SPF15, not many people know the lips are more susceptible to burning than most parts of your body. I love Clinique but any other lipgloss with SPF will do, use yearround.

Jill Sander Sun, this is such a classic, sunshine in a bottle, no alcohol, no stains and spots.
